I'm Derik Hyndman, the founder of KortConnect, and I've been part of the pickleball community for over two years now. Ever since I got hooked on this amazing sport, I’ve had the chance to connect with many top pros and love competing at the highest levels. But what really stands out to me is the sense of community that pickleball fosters. Being involved in several groups across public courts and private facilities in California has given me a deep appreciation for the camaraderie that makes this sport special.

But there’s a problem. As pickleball has grown, so has the push from large companies entering the software space. Many of these companies come from other racket sports and bring generic, corporate-driven software solutions that don’t meet the unique needs of pickleball facilities or the community itself. The connection between players, facilities, and the sport is being overlooked.

That’s why I founded KortConnect. We’re here to change that by working directly with pickleball facilities to provide customized tools that help them thrive. Our goal is to support the growth of pickleball in a way that keeps the community at the forefront, helping facilities stay connected to their players in this modern, tech-driven age.
